Smith Rea strives to improve the methods used to determine
the allocation of oil in gas. This involves research into the stability of
equations, use of statistical tools, data validation and reconciliation.
We also work with clients to develop new and innovative methods. For example,
with one major Operator we developed and implemented the use of uncertainty
based allocation. To date this is believed to be the only application of
this approach in the North Sea.
